How It Works

  1. Choose a template.
  2. Share your logo and 5-10 collection samples.
  3. We then implement with your samples, provide training, and show how to maintain your digital exhibit.

Our Templates

All installations include a back end for staff to remotely log into to upload content using Dublin Core metadata standards.
Uploaded content is then automatically rearranged to form the front-facing digital exhibit.
All templates enable browsing through LCSHs, people, places, and events.
You can make or delete as many staff logins as needed.

Collections are accessed through the main menu.
Galleries appear on the front page as well as in the main menu. They allow organizations to make pre-curated exhibits for educational and research purposes - regardless of how the items are cataloged and interlinked.

The HistoriTechs

Rachael Reitano

The Historian: An archivist and prior teacher, who specializes in digital preservation, and helps museums and local heritage organizations to structure and optimize their collections for accessibility, research, and community engagement.

Her goal is to ensure that historical collections are not only organized and researchable, but also actively contribute to the communities which created them - by strengthening connections among those who help make these collections possible, and by creating opportunities for long-term growth that fosters continual collaboration. She also aims to enable collections to better secure funding for their maintenance, and to create collections that both educate and inspire those who view them.

Sama Askari

The Technician: A certified IT professional with a passion for cybersecurity awareness education and technical problem solving. She consults with organizations as a Security Compliance Analyst, helping organizations to adhere to best practices regarding cyberattack prevention.

In her free time, she enjoys learning computer programming languages, figuring out how new and different technologies work, and practices with software and web application development as a hobby.

This HistoriTECH co-founder's objective is to facilitate digital accessibility between curators and their patrons by extending the reach of collections beyond their physical locations.
